Price guide · Commercials
What doesa commercial cost?
It depends on what is being made, which is why a real price cannot be given without knowing what the film should do. The range on the market is wide: from a couple of tens of thousands of kronor for a simple film to several hundred thousand for a bigger production. Here is what sets the price, how we work it out, and three levels to start from.

What sets the price of a commercial?
Six things decide most of it. The same words, a commercial, can mean an animation in two days or a campaign with several shooting days, people and 3D.
- 01
Shooting days
Every shooting day takes a team, equipment, a location and planning. One day or several is the biggest single item in most films.
- 02
People on screen
Actors, models and extras, casting and direction. A film with the product alone in a studio is simpler than one with ten people at a location.
- 03
Environment and locations
A studio, a location outdoors or a built environment. For Humana we found the location, cast the extras and built the set.
- 04
3D and effects
Everything built in 3D takes time: the product, the environment, simulations like cloth, smoke and water, and rendering. We go through what is required before we set the price.
- 05
Number of films and formats
Every extra length and format costs something, but much less than a new shoot. If it is planned from the start you can get many films out of one day: for Lyko it became 21 films in one shooting day.
- 06
Time
If you want the film in two days instead of two weeks we have to change the plan. When it is urgent it goes fast, but it shows in the price.
02Process
How we set the price
- 1
You tell us
What the film should do, where it will be seen, how many versions and when. A few lines are enough.
- 2
We work it out
We go through shooting days, people, 3D and versions, and come back with questions.
- 3
You get a fixed price
One price for the whole production, with a schedule, before anything is shot.
- 4
We make the film
If something needs to change along the way we say so early, together with what it means for the price.

Three levels to start from
These are the levels we start from. They are starting points, not finished prices: the final price is set when we know what the film should do.
- Smallfrom SEK 10,000
One animation, one product image in 3D or one short clip. About two working days.
- Mediumfrom SEK 40,000
One shoot day or one 3D film, edited and delivered in the formats your channels need.
- Largefrom SEK 65,000
A campaign with several films and images, from idea to finished files.
The prices cover the production of the film. Broadcast and ad space, like buying time on TV or paying for ads on social media, come on top and are booked with the channel or through your media agency. If you know what you need you can order straight in Motorn. Order straight in Motorn →

Frequently asked questions
What does a commercial cost?
It depends on what is being made. An animation, a product image in 3D or a short clip starts at SEK 10,000, a shooting day or a 3D film at SEK 40,000 and a campaign with several films and images at SEK 65,000. You always get a fixed price before we begin.
Why can't you give a price right away?
Because the same words, a commercial, can mean an animation in two days or a campaign with several shooting days, people and 3D. Write a few lines about what you want to make, and you get a fixed price.
What is included in the price?
You get one price for the whole production: idea and script, shoot, 3D if needed, edit, sound, colour and delivery in the formats you need. What exactly is included is stated in the quote, together with a schedule.
Are broadcast or ad space included?
No. The price covers the production of the film. Broadcast and ad space come on top and are booked with the channel or through your media agency.
How do you get the most out of a shoot?
Plan for several films and formats from the start. The same shooting day can give long and short versions, portrait and landscape, and images. For Lyko it became 21 films and a lot of images in one day.
How long does it take?
The smallest, an animation or a short clip, takes about two working days. Bigger films and campaigns we plan together with you, and you get a schedule with the quote.
Is the quote binding?
Getting in touch is never binding. You get a fixed price before we begin, and if something changes along the way we say so early, together with what it means for the price.
The people behind it
We are the ones who do the work.
You talk directly to the people who make the film, with no middlemen. We are also the ones who read what you send. Nine people under one roof in Stockholm.
