Sporttouchen: Nordic Star Cup

The biggest celebrity match in the Nordics. We made most of what moves around it, two years running.

The job

Sporttouchen runs Nordic Star Cup, an international football match between creators, artists and sports stars. In 2026 it was Sweden against Denmark at 3Arena in Stockholm. The ambition was stated plainly: bigger, more cinematic and more lavish than the year before. More Super Bowl than football match.

Our part

We were there from the first teaser to the last frame of the aftermovie. That means film, graphics, photo and 3D in one delivery, by one team, over three months. Here it is in the order the audience saw it.

1. The launch

First two teasers that explain nothing and only raise the question. The day after, the official launch film, which says the match is back. We wrote the script, shot in Stockholm and edited.

2. Player number 3

Together with the telecom brand Tre we made a film series of its own about player number 3, from the reveal to match day, where one of our filmers followed the player all day.

3. The arena

The arena has three kinds of screens: the jumbotron, the LED boards around the pitch and the screens along the long side, each with its own format. We made the player presentations for both teams with 64 cut-out portraits, the countdowns, the sponsor loops and the background loops, and the film that played in the arena before the show. For the live stream we made the graphics for the press conference and the countdown.

4. The aftermovie

On match day we filmed everything from doors to the celebration on the pitch, with the size of it as the point. Two days after the final whistle Sporttouchen had the aftermovie, in landscape and in portrait.

The year before

We did the same match in 2025. Among other things a teaser where a football flies through Stockholm in 3D, the press photos of the squad, and the arena graphics for the first time.

Why it matters

A project like this has a hundred small deliveries and one date that cannot move. It only works if idea, film, graphics and 3D sit in the same room. That is exactly what Midnatt is built for.
